Data Technologies' Story
Data Technologies incorporated on June 18, 2014. Its founder, Jeff Kane, had spent his career as a CFO helping to grow a nationwide security company. He decided to go out on his own. The first purchase was American Communications and Cabling (AC&C), which began its operations in 1987, servicing all of Southern California with its low voltage cabling business.
The company had created a loyal customer base with many long-term repeat clients. Every employee had been with the company for over 15 years. Several of their customers grew nationwide, so AC&C developed a network of partners to service multi-site clients throughout North America.
In 2017, Data Technologies acquired the operations of Lawrence Cable Service (LCS) after the passing of their founder, Glenn Lawrence. Everyone who knew Glenn praised him for his dedication to delivering quality installation to his customers. Glenn started this cabling company in 1986 and focused its growth to servicing Los Angeles and Orange County. We are proud to continue the work he started.
Data Technologies retains employees from both organizations—a testament to their dedication—which were focused on quality installation and dedicated customer service. We are proud to say that our repeat customers have continued to use us for over 25 years. The Data Technologies brand symbolizes add-on value beyond low voltage cabling. With the combined powers of AC&C and LCS, Data Technologies can now provide these services throughout the U.S. and Canada.
